What a busy year it has been!

As the title says, it’s been a busy year. ¬†We produced our biennial show “Angels and Demons” at the Peoples theatre, Jesmond, which was once again a huge success.

Several Competitions were entered with our usual competitive students performing brilliantly!

Aladdin

For over 25 years Stages School of Dance has choreographed and provided dancers for the Tynemouth Priory Theatre Pantomime! This years production is “Aladdin” which we are sure you will be familiar with! We were given the opportunity to use some of our younger pupils again and give them the experience of being on Stage.

Hansel and Gretel

For over 25 years Stages School of Dance has choreographed and provided dancers for the Tynemouth Priory Theatre Pantomime! This years production was “Hansel and Gretel” which was a departure from the usual and delved a little into the darker side of the Grimm Fairytales! We were given the opportunity to use some of our younger pupils and give them the experience of being on Stage.

Another School Year Over!

Well, that’s the end of another school year!
Summer School to go and then time for a break until we return to classes on 4th September 2017.
It has been a busy year;
Kara Riall started her professional training at Urdang
Lizzy Drew at LIPA
Whilst Deanna is doing a degree in Fine Arts at Leeds
Lots of other seniors left and went off to experience university life,

Dick Whittington and his Dancers!

For over 20 years Stages School of Dance has choreographed and provided dancers for the Tynemouth Priory Theatre Pantomime! This year was “Dick Whittington and his Cat” which didn’t fail to provide the usual belly laughs, cringe worthy moments and of course, show-stopping dance numbers (oh, yes we did) It is an absolute pleasure working with our Theatrical Community and seeing our fabulous girls up on that stage year after year!

Off to the Big Smoke!


Huge congratulations to our student, the gorgeous Kara Riall who has been offered a place at The Urdang Academy in London to continue her dance training! We are so proud that you are pursuing something that you are so passionate and talented in…. we will miss you! You are a credit to our school!

“Live and Let Dance”

Well, that’s it, the Show is over, but WHAT A SHOW! We hope that everyone enjoyed performing and watching. The students all performed fantastically and parents, you should be very proud of them, we know we are!
