Vivienne Greener is the founder and principal of Stages School of Dance. She originally trained with RAD and then over the years trained with The British Theatre Dance Association, The North British Dance Organisation and then The Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association, of which she is a Fellow Member and Theatre Examiner. She is also a Fellow Member of the IDTA.
Stages School of Dance was formed in 1984 with half a dozen pupils at the local YMCA.
Vivienne gradually increased this number through hard work and dedication to what it is today. Over the years she has continued her own training to keep up to date with all the current trends, particularly in the modern stage and freestyle genre.Vivienne took the lead role in Stepping Out, where she played the part of Mavis, originally portrayed by Liza Minnelli, and was also in Cabaret as a Kit Kat Girl and one of the “Two Ladies”.
Vivienne has choreographed Carousel, Me and My Girl, Annie, Stepping Out and various other productions over the years.
Viv has had the pleasure of training many students who have gone on to have professional careers in the entertainment industry and she continues to maintain a strong relationship with them. Her mission is to ensure that talented young dancers will receive the very best training they deserve.
